And then there was Sunday...
Sunday morning, after our Canadian Ice Adventures, we woke up really early and headed to Leiceister Square as we got free preview tickets to London's "Walk The Line". I had seen it this winter with Jan, but Kel was a rookie and I wanted to see it again!!! So we got to the theatre at 930 am (movie started at 1030 am) and we were the first ones there. I was worried about getting good seats etc so Kel put up with me and we decided to start the official queue (line up). Slowly one by one, people lined up behind us and by 10:15 there were about 100 people in line! We were first in the theatre for seats, and first in the concession line up for popcorn, and only. WHO WOULDNT WANT POPCORN AT 10 AM????
The movie was so great. One of the best! If you haven't seen it - do. We definitely fell into the ring of fire.
When we left the theatre at noon thirty we remembered it was Chinese New Year and the city was packed with ornaments and music! We headed to Trafalger Square (see pic in previous post) and there were thousands of people there watching the festivities. We walked around a bit then headed home to shower for the PM events.
At 3pm, we went to Mike's flat to meet Joe, Rik, and Katie for a little Wedding Crashers Extended version. Funny how extended versions don't seem so bad when you aren't watching them with your parents.... "Rule #76: No excuses. Play like a champion!"
The group then headed to a Mexican restaurant for Daqs, Mojitos, and Fajitas. Then off to Joe's favorite Sunday bar - Be @ One. It played a lot of rock music. Everyone in the bar (except me) knew the words to every song. The bar was super lively and at 1030 when they closed, that's right, 1030, the bar tenders cranked the music and got on the bar and danced and sang. Just when we thought the night was over and the lights were on, and the music stopped, McNair yells out, "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVI" and next thing ya knew the entire bar was blasting Jon Bon and screaming at the top of their lungs!!!!! Good on ya McNair - way to keep the party still going!
We were in bed by 1130, exhausted from the weekend.
Hey Kel, you know how they say we only use 10 percent of our brains? I think we only use 10 percent of our hearts. Agree to Disagree?

McNair's Bon Jovi outburst reminds me of that time I was in Austin on Friday night and yelled "Kaaaaaaaaan-yeeeeeeeeee" (more of a 'yé' than a 'yee'), at the DJ, who quickly queued up some Gold digger.
And then I danced like I've never danced before.
